Sleepover at Ate Nympha's House

Ate Joan and I had an overnight stay (sleepover) at Ate Nympha’s house. We ate delicious dinner, we chitchat, we watched movies and we slept in one bed. (Yeaah, the three of us!)

While we are watching Got 2 Believe of Claudine Barreto and the late Rico Yan, I suddenly missed P’Shone. The role of Rico, Lorenz in the movie, is the same like P’Shone in ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’. Lorenz and P’Shone are photographers in their movies. They love to take photos of the woman they love and they can’t also confess their love because of their best friends.

If we had a delicious dinner last night, we also had a delicious breakfast, French toast, scrambled eggs, spam, orange juice and CHOCOLATES!

Here are the captured moments during our stay (other photos are not yet been uploaded by Ate Joan)

Good morning!

My Crushes... Hihihihi!

Let’s pray.

Dear Daddy God,

Thank you, Dad, for giving me the opportunity to bond with my friends. Lord, continue to bless our friendship, our lives, our work, our hearts and our family. Father, I give you back all the praises, glory, honor and power. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!

Let the PRAISES RING!

Let the Praises Ring
By: Lincoln Brewster

Oh Lord my God in You I put my trust
Oh Lord my God in You I put my hope
Oh Lord my God in You I put my trust
Oh Lord my God in You I put my hope

CHORUS:
In You In You I find my peace
In You In You I find my strength
In You I live and move and breathe
Let everything I say and do
Be founded by my faith in You
I lift up holy hands and sing
Let the praises ring!

Oh Lord my God to You I give my hands
Oh Lord my God to You I give my feet
Oh Lord my God to You I give my everything
Oh Lord my God to You I give my life

Let’s pray,

Dear Daddy God,

You deserve all the excellent praises, glory, honor, blessing and power! Dad, I put my trust and hope in your hands. I know you know what’s best for me because you already planned out everything in my life! I love you, Dad! And I’m so crazy about you. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!

DGROUP

We did not have our Life Group last night but Jeng asked Atcheng Erica to let us sit-in during their DGROUP. As always, I came early because I went straight at church after work and I was able to meet the pastoral group of Pastor Ru and himself.

Atcheng Erica asked me about my ministry and I told her that I don’t have one yet. She told me if I want to have and I said yes. Starting this Saturday, you will see me at the canteen during the 3rd youth gig (6:00PM-8:00PM). After an hour, Kuya Alfred came with a hungry stomach. LOL!

We started at exactly 7:30PM. We all read Psalm 91:1-16 and we are asked about our favorite verses. We studied the 3 Principles to Live By that Pastor Jerry exhorted last Sunday. 1. Live a Purposeful and Intentional Life. 2. Always dwell in the secret place of the Most High and third, Understanding what devotion is really about.

Overall, we enjoyed and we learned something new during the DGROUP. In addition, Mie, Tinay, Cristi and I had the experienced to be with them and it’s a privilege for us.

Let’s pray.

Dear Daddy God,

We all know that all good things work together for those who love and you can turn the situation around for our own advantage. Thank you, Father, for the privilege to be part during the DGROUP tonight. Continue to give us wisdom and understanding for us to know what is right and wrong especially nowadays that satan is on the loose because he knows that the coming of our savior, Jesus Christ is drawing near. We love you, Dad. In Jesus’ previous name. Amen.

Jesus Calms the Storm

To view some reports. Click here.

35 That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” 36Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. 37 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. 38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” 39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. 40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
(Mark 4:35-40, NIV)

23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” 26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. 27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”
(Matthew 8:23-27, NIV)

We are experiencing Typhoon Pedring (NESAT, International name) in our country today. Due to this other classes from different schools and other offices are suspended. But I know our God is able to calm this raging storm and no one will perish because of it. I believe God will turn the situation around for our countrymen that this storm will just shower the crops of the farmers in our country.

God bless the Philippines!

Let’s pray.

Dear Daddy God,

You are able. You are our strength, our refuge, our protector, our shield. We know, Dad that you are able to calm the raging storm that we are experiencing right now. Father, command your angels to protect and keep us from this calamity. We thank you, Dad. We bring you back all the power, honor, blessing, respect, glory and praises. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!

Obey and Submit

3 weeks from now I will be exhorting a message for the Love Offering in our church. I was about to share Psalms 23:1, NLT, “The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need. But before my devotion tonight, I told God about the message I am planning to share and I also told Him, “Dad, if you have any other message for me to share, your will be done.”

While I’m reading my devotional book and my bible, Isaiah 41:13 caught me. Read the scripture below.

That's right. Because I, your God, have a firm grip on you and I'm not letting go. I'm telling you, 'Don't panic. I'm right here to help you.' - TMSG

I said to God, “Okay, Dad. Is this the message you want me to exhort on October 16? Then give me wisdom and understanding to share it well to your sons and daughters.”

+ + + + +

10 minutes before the Sunday Celebration (early this day), I received a text message from my lifegroup leader telling me to facilitate our fellowship this coming Wednesday. I did not reply right away. While in the middle of the celebration, I received a message from God telling me, “obey and submit to your leaders”. Who am I not to accept it? Obedient is the answer here and it’s another promotion from our Daddy God.

Let’s pray.

Dear Daddy God,

Thank you for my spiritual promotion. Thank you for the wisdom and understanding for me to be able to know what is right and wrong. Dad, I am expecting increase, promotion and abundance in my life more! I love you, Dad. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!

Untangle Your DREAMS

While D and I are waiting for the processing of our travel ticket in airasia.com, my siblings, niece and I decided to watch Tangled (Rapunzel Movie). I already watched this movie in a movie house but I felt like watching it again.

Tangled or Rapunzel is a story of a young lady who was been kidnapped and hidden in a tower for many years. Every year on her birthday, her kingdom releases flying lanterns for they are hoping that one day their Princess will return. Rapunzel dreamed to see those flying lanterns on her birthday but her Mother refuses. On the other hand, there is a group of thieves who stole the tiara of the lost princess. During the chase between the thieves and castle guards, Flynn, one of the 3 thieves discovered the tower where Rapunzel was hidden. He climbed the tower but to his surprised, Rapunzel knocked him down using a frying pan. Rapunzel hid the stolen tiara and made a proposal to Flynn. Then the story begins.

Here are some memorable quotes of the said movie.

Rapunzel: I've been looking out of a window for eighteen years, dreaming about what I might feel like when those lights rise in the sky. What if it's not everything I dreamed it would be?
Flynn Rider: It will be.
Rapunzel: And what if it is? What do I do then?
Flynn Rider: Well, that's the good part I guess. You get to go find a new dream.

Rapunzel: [singing] Flower gleam and glow. Let your powers shine. Make the clock reverse. Bring back what once was mine. Heal what has been hurt. Change the fates' design. Save what has been lost. Bring back what once was mine, What once was mine...

Hook Hand Thug: Go, live your dream.
Flynn Rider: I will.
Hook Hand Thug: [Referring to Rapunzel] Your dream stinks. I was talking to her.

Rapunzel: [During the 'I See The Light' number; Rapunzel sees Flynn holding two lanterns for her and approaches him] I have something for you too.
[Rapunzel hands Flynn his satchel, Flynn looks surprised]
Rapunzel: I should have given it to you before, but I was scared. And the thing is, I'm not scared anymore. You know what I mean?
Flynn Rider: [Flynn gently pushes the satchel Rapunzel is holding in front of him aside and flashes a sincere smile] I'm starting to.

Flynn Rider: You were my new dream.
Rapunzel: [crying] And you were mine.

Flynn Rider: But I know what the big question is? Did Rapunzel and I ever get married? Well I am happy to say after years and years of asking, I finally said yes.
Rapunzel: Eugene!
Flynn Rider: Okay, okay. I asked her.
Rapunzel: And we're living happily ever after!
Flynn Rider: Yes we are.

All of us have dreams, right? God is a dream giver and when He wants to bless a man, He gives him a dream. Remember the story of Joseph? God talked to him through his dream. One night Joseph had a dream…” (Genesis 37:5a, NLT). Also Elihu mentioned it in the Book of Job, "He [God] speaks in dreams, in visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they lie in their beds." (Job 33:15, NLT)

Let us define the meaning of “DREAM”. “Dreams are powerful, it gives you energy, it gives you passion, it gives you drive, it keeps you moving forward, it sustains you, it motivates you, it pushes you beyond the limits.”

Like the Hook Hand Thug said to Rapunzel, I’m also saying it to you, “Go, live your dream! Do not disappoint our dream giver because He trusts you so much!”

Aside from the quotes above, this one is my favorite.

“She was a princess worth waiting for.” – Eugene Fitzherbert/Flynn Rider

I know someday my Prince will find me and He is going to say those words to me.

Let’s pray.

Dear Daddy God,

Thank you so much for the dreams/desires that you put inside our hearts. We know that if you gave us a dream that only means you trust us and you are going to help us to its completion. Father, give us the strength to bear the difficulties while we are on our way. We love you, Dad. In jesus’ precious name. Amen!

First Fruit....

God’s Revelation

9 Honor the LORD with your wealth,
   with the firstfruits of all your crops;
10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing,
and your vats will brim over with new wine.
(Proverbs 3:9-10)

I never thought that God will give me my first fruit today.

+ + + +

7 weeks ago, I received a date from God which is today, September 20, 2011. From the time that God gave me this date; I kept on asking Him on what will happen to this day. I remember begging him, “Please, Dad.. kahit glimpse lang pakita mo saken.. pwease…”  and He answered me, “Just wait. Malapit na ang September 20.”

September 20, 2011 came and I said to myself, this is the date that God gave me! Of course, I’m excited and I’m looking forward to this day. Here is what happened today. I had my first fruit and that is Rose, my co-associates. I talked to her yesterday if she is willing to have a one-to-one fellowship with me and she said yes. Woohoo! God is truly a God of provision. Hehehe.

Rose and I started our first one-to-one fellowship after our lunch during our lunch break at our conference room. I shared to her the things that bothered me from the past few months and how God help me to overcome them and how He turns the situation around for me. After I talked, she also shared to me the things that bother her. I gave her some advices and I told her to read her bible because All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.” (2 Timothy 3:16, NLT)

When I got home, I told my cousin, Kim, to pray with me (I smell another fruit here. LOL!). We prepared everything before started our devotion. She eats. I took a bath. She took a bath. I washed the dishes. (I do not eat dinner. I have a commitment to God to fast for 40days). After all the preparations, I told her to pray in the spirit because as the scripture says, Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere” (Ephesians 6:18, NLT)

While I’m writing this post, I still have 2 hours and 40 minutes for this day to end. I believe God is not done yet and this is just the beginning of my harvesting time.

+ + + + +

Happy birthday, HP, Harry, Hush, Agent Benford, Diego, Dude, Dudung, Bognot, Darby, Darboink, Rabbit, D! Thank you for the friendship and fellowship we have. I appreciate you much! In Jesus’ name. Amen!

Harvesting Season

Last week, Pastor William exhorted, “The Joy of Enduring”. Today, he exhorted the continuation of last week’s message entitled, “The Rewards of Enduring”. If we are joyfully enduring our hardships in lives, we will reap our rewards, right?

Here are the Rewards of Enduring:
First, Growth of Faith. Our experiences in life are the things that increases our faith to God not the favors and blessings we are receiving from Him.

I know how great this makes you feel, even though you have to put up with every kind of aggravation in the meantime. Pure gold put in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine faith put through this suffering comes out proved genuine. When Jesus wraps this all up, it's your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory.
(1 Peter 1:6-7, TMSG)

Second, Strength of Character. Strength of character does not come from blessing and favor but of hardships and each and every problems we are facing has purpose to purify our characters.

And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.
(Romans 5:4, NLT)

Third (last), Crown of Life. The people who only endured are the only people who will be crowned and who will be blessed by God. God does not want a quitter but a person who endure.

If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us.
(2 Timothy 2:12, NIV)

“God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
(James 1:12, NLT)

Remember, earth is for work. Heaven is for wages.

God’s revelation

“For I am ready to set things right, not in the distant future, but right now!”
(Isaiah 46:13, NLT)

Wow! Thank you so much, Dad! I’m receiving “NOW” for 2-days in a row.

Let’s pray.

Dear Daddy God,

Thank you, Dad, for the great rewards you have for us. Jesus gives us the ability to endure patiently because we want to witness our harvesting time. Holy Spirit, guide and lead us. I love you, Dad. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!

For God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. – Romans 11:29, NIV
