Love Month Schedule

First day of love month! What’s in store for you for this month? Well, I can say that this month will be fruitful for me. Let me share them to you.

February 3 – Post Encounter God Retreat
All men and women who joined the Encounter God Retreat last October 2011 will be having a follow-up meeting. They will assess us about our Christian walk after the EGR.

February 5 – Enchanted Kingdom
Our DGROUP will be having a field trip or outing at Enchanted Kingdom this coming Sunday after the 2nd celebration. We are all excited for this because we’ve been planning about the trip since September 2011.

February 10 – Christianity 101 (C101)
I enrolled myself for the Christianity 101 class. The class will be held every Friday at our Church from February to May. Please intercede for me that God will give me wisdom, intelligence and understanding for this so that I may be able to share the things I’ve learn with all of you.

February 16 – Citipointe Live Concert
Yes, you heard/read it right. The Citipointe will be having their concert in our Church and I will be watching the concert with my friends. I know this is also an opportunity to harvest/fish for people.

February 23 – Whey’s birthday
My best friend will be turning 27 on this day. She told me to reserve that day for her and of course I will do that. Because of my excitement, I already gave her my advance birthday gifts. Hehe! See them below.

Great choice, right? :)

Giving back what GOD deserves!

This morning, I was asked by my co-associate (Kuya Alan) about tithing. I told him, “To tell you honestly, Kuya, before I’m not faithful in my tithing. But since, last quarter of 2011, I told myself to get serious in giving back what our God deserves. Every time I received my salary/wage, I put aside the 10% for my tithes so that I won't be tempted to use them”.

Then he asked me, “What are the changes you notice since you gave your tithes or you bring back what God deserves?” I answered him, “I noticed my salary/wage had increase. I’m expecting 5k but when I checked my atm I saw 6k. Then I told myself, wow! God is faithful indeed!”

Kuya Alan told me, “When we are consistent in returning what God deserves, He will not only give us financial blessing. He will also protect us. He will also give us excellent health and supernatural strength. He will also give us joy and peace of mind”. “Right, Kuya,” I answered. “Before I’m convicted in not returning what He my tithes and offering but now I am no longer convicted and I’m happy that I’m giving my tithes and offering.” Then I shared Malachi 3:8-10, NLT to him.

“Should people cheat God? Yet you have cheated me! “But you ask, ‘What do you mean? When did we ever cheat you?’ “You have cheated me of the tithes and offerings due to me. 9 You are under a curse, for your whole nation has been cheating me. 10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!

Let’s pray.

Dear Daddy God,

You are faithful, indeed! Father, truly that we can never out give you in terms of giving and we thank you that every good gifts we receive comes from you. Father I pray that we may learn to bring back what you deserved from us. We love you. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!

GOD’S ATTRIBUTES: HE IS LOVE

GOD’S ATTRIBUTES: HE IS LOVE

[This message may be one that you will want to forward to people you know.]

The Scottish theologian P. T. Forsyth believed that there are really two overarching attributes of God: holiness and love. Put the pieces together (because God is a whole and complete reality), and you can speak of the “holy love” of God. His holiness is our assurance that he is different from the defilements of this world, and indeed, different from us, which contradicts any religious notion that God or the gods are just amplified versions of human nature.

But because God is love he is not separated from us. He is engaged, connected, involved. He is a God at work. Separate but not separated. Discriminating but not discriminatory. Hating evil but loving good. And, out of that love, he was willing to descend into this corrupt world in a great Incarnation and, in the person of Jesus, draw unholy people toward his holiness.

Amazing!

In 1 John 4 we find this clear, bold summary of the issue: “God is love.” It is a way of saying that this attribute is so central to who God is, this act is so essential to who we must be in God, that we can set our focus there and spend a lifetime asking God to help us understand and live in this reality. Who will ever tire of adoring a God who is love?

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.” (1 John 4:7-12).

God’s love has many faces. It is his mercy, which is his willingness to suspend judgment while there is hope for correction or salvation in our lives. It is his benevolence, which is his pattern of bringing blessings into our lives. And then, of course, there is grace. Grace is giving. For lack of a better word, it is God’s giving-ness. He gives and gives and gives. No one will ever change that, because love is who God is. And, because of love, God does not spoil us. He gives what we really need, which is not always what we think we need.

My Playlist... What's in yours?

Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your heart.
(Ephesians 5:18b-19, NLT)

Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.
(Colossians 3:16c, NLT)

What’s in your playlist? I got this idea from the post of Mr. Darby Bognot (or D to make his name short, super short!), a friend, a travel partner and an officemate.

Before, I like to have a phone where can I store and play secular songs/music. Two of my favorite secular songs before are “When will it be me by Yasmeen and Where are you by Natalie”.

Now, my preference had change and my phone has been baptized. LOL! They are now Christian songs from different Christian singers and composers like Chris Tomlin, Israel Houghton, Phillip, Craig & Dean, Hillsongs, Planetshakers and Lincoln Brewster to name a few. I also have songs that composed by our very own talents in our church, Adriel Dulin’s “This is love” and Hasse Dumandan’s “Love that’s in me”. I remember, I posted the lyrics of “Love that’s in me” last year. If I will have the chance to get the lyrics of “This is love” I will also post it here.

Here are the screenshots of my playlist.

Chris Tomlin's Songs

Let’s pray.

Dear Daddy God,

We thank you for the gift of music! We thank you for our Christian brothers and sisters whose talents is composing music for your greater glory. Continue to give them wisdom and passion in their work. We love you. In Jesus’ glorious name. Amen!

Dream Revelation and Interpretation #1

These are the revelations and interpretations of my dreams that are written or posted in this blog. The revelations and interpretations of my dreams were come from my friends who have the ability or gifts to interpret dreams. I’m also praying to our Heavenly Father to give me that ability or gift too. We don’t know, maybe next time I am now able to interpret my own dream and your dreams as well. *Smiles*

I praise God for having friends who has the ability or gifts to interpret dreams. This revelation and interpretation is all about my Dream Log #4, the Anti-Christ/Illuminati’s and the prayer warriors. When I have had this dream, it really bothered me. What I did is I texted my friends and my mentor (Jeng) about it.

After 8 hours of waiting for them to response to my text, Krisette texted me with the interpretation. Her text says, “Dear, you’re really an intercessor. You have to ask God to enhance your spiritual gifts and totally revealed them to you.” I know my spiritual gift is “dreams” that is why I’m praying to God to also give me the ability or gift of interpreting dreams.

It’s Tuesday morning when I dreamed that dream. Tuesday is also my ministry time in our church. Vinky arrived while I’m doing my task in the canteen. We had chitchat about work, ministry and our common friends. After one and half hour of chitchatting I told her about my dream. She did not say anything about it first.

Last night (Wednesday), while I’m waiting for my life group in our church, Vinky popped up in front of me. As usual, we had our chitchatting while babysitting Row and Jeremy. But before she left me she said these things to me. “Dear, while I’m having my devotion this morning, God revealed the meaning of your dream to me. You are an intercessor!” then I told her, “Wow! You just confirmed what krisette told me yesterday!”

I rushed to the canteen to tell Beth about the meaning of my dream. I asked her, “How can I join the intercessory ministry?” She told me, “Ask Venus. She is handling the intercessory ministry since Dan became a Pastor.” I asked the DGROUP of Pastor Ru if they have seen Venus but unfortunately she is not yet there. While the DGROUP is having dinner, I saw Venus and called her. I told her that I want to be part of the intercessory ministry and how can I be part of it. She answered me, “We have mentoring every Saturday, 12nn-1pm. Prayer time 1pm-2pm. One word (youth gig) 2pm-4pm. Intercession 4pm-8pm. And you must be active in prayer works” Then I told her, “Prayer works is not a problem. I’m already attending it. But aside of joining intercessory ministry, I’m also part of the Canteen ministry. How is that?” Venus said, “You can join the intercession from 4pm-6pm then serve at the canteen from 6pm-8pm.” Then I told her, “That’s great! See you on Saturday prayer works!”

I told my mentor about this great news and she’s happy about it. I encourage our LG to join a ministry because serving God through a ministry is also exceptional.

While I’m traveling to work today, January 26, God reminded me of one of my desires that is to be an intercessor and He already told me that I’m n intercessor through Pastor Jerry which I forgot. Then I told myself, “Wow! God is faithful and He really knows the desires of our heart.” Then I smiled when I remember my other desires, to be a Missionary (travelling with purpose) and to be a Pastor’s wife (I know it will be hard but yeaah!). Well, I can’t wait for that to happen! LOL!

Let’s pray!

Dear Daddy God,

Thank you for putting the desires in our hearts and using our dreams to talk with us. We also thank you for using our friends to reveal and to interpret our dreams through them. As you said in your word, we are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. We praise you. We bless you. We exalt you. We love you. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!

My plan... Is it God's plan?

I’ve been planning about working in a foreign country for 5 to 6 months now. I want to give the best (materials things) for my siblings and relatives. But how can I give it if I’m only working as a contractual in our office and my salary is just enough for my own expenses.

Working in different country is a struggle for me. Not because I don’t want to leave my siblings. It’s because I don’t want to leave my ministry. Yes, my ministry. You know, God used my ministry to get closer to him and to know him more. Though I know that there will be a Christian Church in other country where I will be working but I know that my heart and mind is here.

I told my mentor and friends about my plan. My mentor gave me this scripture, Proverbs 19:21, NIV, “Many are the plans in a man’s heart but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails”. Then I told her, “I will pray about it. We know that He knows what’s best for me”. She said, “Yes, dear!” Hehehe!

I know God is a God of purpose and plans. I also know that his plans, ways and thoughts are better than ours. If God wants me to stay and work here or He wants me to work in other country, I know his plan for me is to prosper me not to harm me. (Is it obvious that my life verse and one of my favorite verses in the Bible is Jeremiah 29:11-13? Hehehe!)

Let’s pray.

Dear Daddy God,

We are very grateful that you know what you are doing in our life. That you have it all planned out. Plans to prosper us not to harm us. To give us a future and a hope. That when pray to you, you will listen. That when we seek you wholeheartedly, we will find you and we won’t be disappointed by you. Thank you so much, Dad! We love you, we respect you, and we appreciate you and bless you. In Jesus’ precious name. Amen!

Dream Log #4

Awhile ago, I had a weird dream. I dreamt of my friends, cousins and I having a battle with the Anti-Christ. They look like demon possessed. I recognized two A-lister stars that are known to all of us. They are in the camp of the Anti-Christ or Illuminati.

We teach the kids to say the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and say “Jesus loves you” to the people they meet. We all know that the most powerful name is JESUS and every demon who will hear the name of our Lord and Savior will flee that is why we teach them.

While we are administering to the people, the illuminati broke the wall or gate that separate between us. My friends, cousins and I hold hands prayed in the spirit. One of the demon possessed talk to me which I do not understand the language he used but I know it’s about praying in the spirit. Every time we say the name of our Savior, they are shrinking.

The illuminati’s came in full force and they outnumbered us. Then I cried with a loud voice, “Lord, send us more prayer warriors!”

We know that satan is out to steal and kill and destroy. But Jesus’ purpose is to give us a rich and satisfying life. (John 10:10)

Let us pray.

Dear Daddy God,

Like my prayer in my dream, send us more prayer warriors through my friends and life groups. May we learn the essence of being an intercessor/prayer warrior. We love you. In Jesus’ powerful name. AMEN!

NERBAC

Today (January 24) is my first day in my new division, NERBAC (National Economic Research and Business Assistance Center).  Though I know the people here for almost three years, I’m still anxious working with them. Maybe because it’s my first time to work here and I’m afraid that I won’t be able to meet their expectations.

During my devotional time, I always pray to our Father to give me wisdom, intelligence, understanding and courage that I need for my work. And I asked Him to help me in everything that I do.

This morning, while everyone is not yet in the office, I open my bible and read Genesis 49-50 and Exodus 1-3.  God gave me promises for my work. I know that these scriptures are related to my previous division.

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good.” - Genesis 50:20a, NLT

“He looked down on the people of Israel and know it was time to act.”- Exodus 2:25, NLT

If you will analyze it carefully, God is telling me that my new division is my “Promise Land”. It is a land flowing with milk and honey, right? Therefore, this is the division where I will grow professionally and God will be with me in my new challenges in work.

Let’s pray.

Dear Daddy God,

Thank you for your assurance that you will be with me in my new challenges in work. Father, I prayed that I will be able to work with them (my new officemates) well and I will be able to share your love and message to them. I bring you back all the praises, glory and honor. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!

For God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. – Romans 11:29, NIV
