Your Grace Still Amazes Me

“The Family that Prays Together Stays Together”

We had our first Family Devotion today. We woke up at 5:30am to worship God, to read and study His word, to share our insights and to pray.

We studied 1 Samuel 15. Samuel said to Saul to completely destroy the entire Amalekite nation—men, women, children, babies, cattle, sheep, goats, camels, and donkeys. Saul did what Samuel told Him but not all of it. He spares the life of the Amalekite king and he kept the best of the flocks. (1 Samuel 15:3)

Samuel confronted Saul for disobeying God’s command. Saul said to Samuel, “It’s true that the army spared the best of the sheep, goats, and cattle but they are going to sacrifice them to the Lord your God. We have destroyed everything else.” (1 Samuel 15:15). The intention of Saul is good but he disobeys God’s commands. And here what Samuel told him, “What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams. Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft, and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols. So because you have rejected the command of the Lord, he has rejected you as king.” (1 Samuel 15:22-23)

Most of the time we are obeying God’s voice but not everything what he told us to do. We thought that we can please Him of what we did but we are wrong, we are making God’s sorry to the actions we did. Now, when God told you to do something, obey Him with your heart and He will reward you for your obedience because God is not human that he can lie and change his mind.

Your Grace Still Amazes Me

My faithful Father, enduring friend
Your tender mercy is like a river with no wind
It overwhelms me covers my sin
Each time I come into your presence I stand in wonder once again

(chorus)
Your grace still amazes me
Your love is still a mystery
Each day i fall on my knees
'cause your grace still amazes me
Your grace still amazes me

Oh patient savior, you make me whole
You are the author and the healer of my soul
What can I give you lord what can I say
I know there's no way to repay you only to offer you my praise

(chorus)
Your grace still amazes me
Your love is still a mystery
Each day I fall on my knees
Cause your grace still amazes me
Your grace still amazes me

Its deeper, its wider, its stronger, its higher
Its deeper, its wider, its stronger, its higher
Than anything my eyes can see

Your grace still amazes me
Your love is still a mystery
Each day i fall on my knees
Cause your grace still amazes me
Your grace still amazes me

Let’s pray.
