SOLID FAITH
Title: Solid Faith = Solid Life
By: Pastor Anthony D. Martinez
Hebrews 11:1, 6 NIV, "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and
assurance about what we do not see. 6 And without faith it
is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that
he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."
What
do we do for us to have faith? Do we earn it or work for it? The good news
about faith is that God gives it to us freely. But it doesn’t just end there. Once
you receive the gift of faith you need to mature it, use it and exercise it.
Solid
faith is about trusting God and testing your own character. A solid faith is
not only about wishful thinking. You can’t speak about faith without talking
about obedience. It is your greatest testimony of faith in God.
God
expects us to grow our gifts. We should be diligent, excellent and unique when
we execute God’s will. They you will see that God arranges your every
experience according to his purpose.

REDEEMING THE TIME
Title: Redeeming the Time
By: Pastor William B. Galang
There
are two things in life that we cannot take back, words when you already said
them, and time that has already passed.
Ephesians 5:15-17, NLT, “So be careful how you
live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise.16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. 17 Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the
Lord wants you to do.”
Now
we want to take a closer look at time. This is equally allotted for all. Rich or
poor, young or old, we are only given 24 hours a day. More than ever God wants
us to spend our time wisely. He wants us to follow him.
Making
good use of our time is of ultimate importance because the days are evil, we
don’t have much time left, and time itself is not ours.
WHAT YOU ARE, WHERE YOU ARE, WILL DIRECT WHERE YOU WILL BE
Title: what you are, where you are, will direct where you will be
By: Pastor
Anthony D. Martinez
Matthew
6:25-27, NLT,
“That is why I tell you not to worry about
everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to
wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food
in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable
to him than they are? 27 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?”
Monotonous and boring or relentless and eventful?
How do you describe your life now? Life isn’t about how much you control it. Life
is about how you decide today that redeems your past and determines your
future.
We cannot do anything about the past anymore,
more so we can’t find out the future as well. Giving your best and staying
faithful are the keys. Where you are right now is the best place to start
moving, to start conquering, and to start succeeding!
Grow where you are.
Overcome where you are.
Pass the test where you
are.
What you do today can have a great impact on you
tomorrow. Today, God has placed you in a situation where he wants you to learn
and to be refined for a greater purpose that he has in store for you. Do not
worry and stay focused on what God wants you to do, now!

GOD’S TIMING
Title: GOD’S TIMING
moving in the direction of god’s will
by: Ptr. Anthony Martinez
Ephesians 5:15-17, NLT, "So be careful how you live. Don’t live
like fools, but like those who are wise.16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil
days. 17 Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the
Lord wants you to do.”
One
of the most common issues of life applicable to everybody is the issue of
perfect timing! It is, in fact, very tricky! No same formulas or principles
have been discovered to uncover its mystery.
If
we’re not too hasty on things, we delay. Vice versa.
As
far as God is concerned, His timing is the best, with wisdom, with blessings,
with purpose, and is always beautiful. And this is what we should aim for—GOD’S PERFECT TIMING!
The
word TIME is described in two Greek
words: CHRONOS and KAIROS. Chronos means sequential time
while Kairos is an event, opportunity and a moment in time everything changes
because it is the right time.
Wondering
if there’s a secret to knowing God’s perfect time for everything? Any formula,
maybe? The answer is no, there is no hard and fast rule to be in the path of
God’s perfect timing. The way to know this is to know Him, His ways and obey Him.
Understanding God’s timing is about knowing Him.
Wait
for the Kairos Moment – when the
Eternal God breaks in to your circumstances in an event that will gather the
loose ends of your life, and know them together in his hands.

I TOUCH THE SKY WHEN MY KNEES HIT THE GROUND
Title: I touCh the Sky when my knees hit the Ground
Fiel

Surrendering
and humility are two words often looked down upon in this world. These two
words more often than not equates to weakness and lack of authority.
1
Peter 5:5-7, NLT,
"In the same way, you who are
younger must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, dress
yourselves in humility as you relate to one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
6 So
humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will
lift you up in honor. 7 Give
all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
Humility attracts heaven
In
this world we need to be on top to be recognized at school, in the office, and
also in a group. But with God it works in a very different way. For us to be
able to touch God’s heart we need to humble ourselves. Humility makes God
smile. Humility is the spirit of heaven. When we humble ourselves before God,
he pours out his blessing on us. And what is more worthwhile in life than
having God’s favour in your life. Humility attracts heaven and it touches the
heart of God.
Surrender is power
Never
surrender. It’s one of the favourite sayings of this world. But in the language
of heaven, surrendering to God is a manifestation power. When you surrender and
let God move in your seemingly difficult situation that is when he is most
powerful. Surrender is freedom from the illusion that you can do it all. It is
freedom from fear, doubts, worries and addiction. Surrender and just allow God
to turn thing around for your good.

LIVE LIGHTLY
Live Lightly
Matthew 11:28-30, NLT, "Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy
burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble
and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I
give you is light.”
Has anybody benefited from worrying? Worry doesn’t seem
to hurt anyone but always facilitates sickness, paranoia and insecurities. Many
people suffer because unnecessary baggages and honestly speaking, those people
don’t deserve that.
To live lightly, we must practice these three things
that will surely help us exercise our freedom as Christians who have already
been redeemed from unnecessary mind troubles.
How to live your life lightly?
1.
Confess
-
Confession
liberates us. Contrary to what we have believed it to be (shameful, degrading),
confession, as a believes, is something honourable. It helps us live our free
lives in tact.
-
You have to agree, acknowledge
-
We should confess everyday because everyday we break the
heart of Jesus
-
Confession is a part of repentance.
-
1 John 1:8-10, NLT, "If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and
not living in the truth. 9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. 10 If we
claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word
has no place in our hearts.”
-
Unconfess sin is a heavy burden. - Pastor Gelo
-
Confession is acknowledging that God is right.
2.
Consecrate
-
To be consecrated means to be set apart from God’s
purpose. It also means being aligned to the will of God. Alignment to the will
of God outside the comfort of church ministries are as important. Every detail
of our lives is involved!
-
Joshua 3:5, NIV, "Joshua told the
people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things
among you.”
-
Joshua 7:13, NIV, "Go,
consecrate the people. Tell them, ‘Consecrate yourselves in preparation for
tomorrow; for this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: There are devoted
things among you, Israel. You cannot stand against your enemies until you remove
them."
-
When you are not doing the will of God, you are wasting
your time.
-
Align yourself to the will of the Lord.
3.
Concentrate
-
There
is no other way to complete living lightly that is fixing our eyes on Jesus. He
is the source of our strength, hope, and joy. It is impossible to live lightly
without Him. He is the Author and Finisher of our faith, therefore, to
concentrate is perfect living lightly!
-
Hebrews 12:1-3, MSG, "Do you
see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans
cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start
running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your
eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did
it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish
in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame,
whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When
you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by
item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot
adrenaline into your souls!"

What every makes you pray is a blessing.

Dream House
October 24, 2014
My husband and I are
planning to buy or to build a house. We are distraught about the cost of buying
or constructing a new house and filling it (furniture, appliances, etc). We
have many opinions from our relatives and friends and we even surveyed a low
cost housing in our near municipality. What struck me is one of our Aunts
opinion, she told us to ask God for wisdom and direction in our decision
making.
On that night, I asked
God what He wants for us. I am amazed when He answered me, He said, “Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your
home, and spare no expense!” (Isaiah 54:2, NLT). His
answer is very clear. He wants us to build a new house and to spend without
regarding the cost. And that same night, I received the proposed floor plan of
our house from an architect friend.

| The Proposed Floor Plan |
When I look Isaiah 54 in The Message (MSG)
translation, it says, “Make
your tents large. Spread out! Think big! Use plenty of rope, drive the tent
pegs deep. You’re going to
need lots of elbow room for your growing family.” I am
married with 1 (one) child but I’m still praying for an addition to our family
but when I read this word in The Message translation it is now clear to me why
God wants us to enlarge our house and build an addition it’s because of our
growing family. I’m praying and hoping that I will be pregnant with our second
child this year.
Let’s pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your word, for answering us
when we are in doubt and when we need answers. Thank you for being true to your
word and promises. Father, I know that these promises will come to pass in your
perfect timing. Right now, I am entrusting all our plans and cares in your
hands. I love you. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
